Come join us on the Fort Smith campus tonight for Spring Fling Thing. This is an event wrapping up Community Kids and 56. There will be games, food, and lots of fun! If you are kindergarten through 6th grade, you won't want to miss out!
Happy New Year! Ready or not - it's a brand new year. Time for new resolutions and new commitments. I encourage each of you to commit to praying for our Children's Ministry in 2009. Our goal is "Transformed Children Transforming Their World" and you can help us make that happen! Pray for our ministry, our volunteers, and our children and great things will happen.
ODDS and ENDS
Don't forget! - JANUARY 7th - Community Kids starts up again! We will be serving pizza at 6:00 and then our activities for the evening will begin at 6:30. Pizza and a drink is $2.
CK Bucks - This Sunday in C-123 we will be starting CK Bucks. This is an incentive designed to encourage our kids on Sunday mornings. Kids can earn bucks for attendance, bringing their Bible, bringing a friend, participation, memorization, and enthusiasm. There are lots of ways for the kids to earn bucks, we will keep track of them at church, and then the first Sunday of each month there will be a store ,with lots of fun stuff, open for the kids to shop in. This Sunday we will be sending home a flyer explaining CK Bucks, so be sure to get a flyer when you pick up your child.
2009 will be a great year. I encourage you to find your spot. Whether you volunteer on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights or you pray for us daily, you'll want to be a part of our Children's Ministry in 2009! Have a great day and I'll see you Sunday!
A reminder that we will meet at Malco Cinema on Wednesday night for Community Kids and 56. Please sign your child in and also sign your child out. The movie (Madagascar Escape 2 Africa) will start at 6:15 so don't be late. I took my family to see the movie the other day and actually enjoyed it. Kids of all ages will love it, as well as adults. The cost is $5 per kid. This gets you a movie ticket and a coke and popcorn. Parents are welcome to stay and bring their younger children. The cost is $5 for each person. See you Wednesday night.
Just a quick reminder - tonight is Community Kids! We will begin as always here at the church at 6:00pm with pizza. Pizza and a drink is $2. Tonight we will have a worship time with the student band and then games and a lesson with Mr. Matt. It should be a great night! Parents, feel free to stay and join us this evening. I think you would enjoy the worship time and also it would be a great chance for you to worship with your children!
Next Wednesday we will be off campus at the Malco Theatre. It will be movie night! I will be posting more details of that as I am sure of them.
Have a great day and we hope to see you and your kiddos tonight!
Lace up your skates - we're going to Crystal Palace!
This Wednesday, all Kindergarten through 6th graders are invited to join us at Crystal Palace. We will meet at 6:00 pm and pickup is at 8:00 pm. The cost is $5 and that will cover your skates and food.
Parents, you will need to sign your child in and then sign them out. Feel free to stay and join the fun - we would love to have you there. The more people there are, the more fun there will be!
Be sure to look for pictures here on the blog at the end of the week. Who knows, maybe this time I'll be able to post them correctly the first time!
We want to provide a healthy environment in our nursery, preschool, and children’s area, so we ask parents to keep their child at home when they observe any of the following:
*Fever
*Vomiting
*Diarrhea
Green or yellow runny nose
Questionable rash
Excessive coughing
Discharge in or around eyes
Any communicable disease
*if it has occurred any time in the past 24 hours.
If a child shows any obvious signs of the symptoms above, you will be asked to keep them with you so that we do not expose the other children in the classroom.
Parents will be notified promptly through our paging system if a child becomes ill while in our care.
Please make sure a child being treated with an antibiotic has received treatment for at least 24 hours before coming to the children’s area.
Thanks for your cooperation - Children's Ministry Staff
