Last night our Community Kids (K-4th) and 56 (our newest Wednesday night 5th and 6th grade program) met at Ben Garen for Pizza and Putt-Putt. I think a great time was had by all until the lights were turned out on us during the pick up time. I hope that when you woke up this morning you had the right children. We did our best to keep it under good order. (Ha!) If you have the wrong child please let me know and I will place them with the proper owner.
We also had a short Bible talk. Community is in the process of going through the book of Philippians on Sunday mornings. There are daily devotional on the website if you are interested. Our talk last night was out of Philippians 1:3. Paul was writing to Philippi while he was in prison (kids think that that is weird) and still each time he thought about people that were doing their best to tell others about Jesus, even though he was in prison, he thanked God for them. Our encouragement to the Community Kids last night was when they think about family, friends, and their church...thank God for them. I hope you do the same each time you think about your family, friends, and your church as we do our best to carry out the Gospel of Christ.
